ALKALINITY CONTROL LIQUID
- Controlled alkaline liquid.
- Optimizes hardness control.
- Neutralizes acids and promotes calcium and magnesium salt precipitation for efficient blowdown.
For better results, you may use it along with these:CHEMOPHOS
CHEMALK is a concentrated alkaline liquid. It is used in conjunction with CHEMOPHOS to ensure efficient hardness control by providing the correct alkalinity levels.
CHEMALK, as an alkalinity controller, is an acid neutralizer, providing corrosion control. It also promotes the formation of a passivating layer; thus further mitigation corrosion. The product also acts as a neutralizing agent after acid treatment has been taken place.
CHEMALK is used in all types of boilers, both H.P. and L.P. boilers.
Boiler water Condition Monitoring
Arrange boiler water sampling at regular intervals, depending on boiler type and working pressure. Cool and analyses sample at once. The results from the analysis will determine the action to be taken. That is either chemical addition, blowdown or no action at all.
Feed the product directly to the boiler via a boiler feed water line. In low pressure boilers, the product may be fed directly to a condensate return tank.
The required quantity of product is determined by the water alkalinity level. A proper level of treatment is maintained by testing for p-alkalinity . As a general guideline, 0.25 liters of CHEMALK will raise p-alkalinity by 100 ppm.
Properly treat boiler water should yield a pH between 9.5 and 11, which is acceptable.
-For all types boiler water, standard ‘P’ alkalinity level should be of the order 100-150 ppm.
-Initial dosing to achieve these standards would be 0.20 liters per 1000 liters of distilled water.
